Social media for political campaigns in Barranquilla, Santa Marta and La Guajira
A campaign is won on the street and sustained on the phone. Today the voter meets the candidate through a reel, opens the profile to see the proposals and, if interested, writes on WhatsApp. If nobody answers within minutes, that vote cools off. Our social media service for political campaigns covers that whole journey: narrative, daily content, a response room and measurement by district.
What a social media agency does for a candidate
- Audit: we review the candidate's and rivals' social media and build the audience map by neighbourhood, district and municipality.
- Narrative: message, three or four pillars and tone; then a calendar by campaign week that respects the legal milestones (registration, start of propaganda, electoral silence).
- Daily production: reels, pieces, coverage of walkabouts and events, and rapid-response content when the moment calls for it.
- Response room: comments and messages answered in minutes with the WhatsApp Business API and Superchat, labelled by district, with a registry of volunteers who consent to be contacted.
- Weekly report: reach by area, conversations, volunteers registered and which content moved the most.
Political ads on Meta: rules and compliance
Ads about political or electoral topics require Meta's political advertiser authorisation and the "paid for by" disclaimer. In Colombia the National Electoral Council sets spending caps, propaganda windows and income and expense reports (Law 1475 of 2011). We manage Meta ads within those rules and hand you the documentation for your reports.
Supporters' data: why we handle it carefully
Political affiliation is sensitive data under Law 1581 of 2012. We only register people who give explicit consent, ask for the minimum (name, WhatsApp and district), keep it in tools with restricted access and delete it when the campaign closes, unless the person asks to keep receiving information.
How much social media management costs for a political campaign
We work by campaign month, three months minimum: Council from COP $3,500,000 a month, Mayor or Assembly from $6,500,000 and House or Senate from $12,000,000 with a dedicated team. Ad spend is paid separately to Meta. We only work with one candidate per seat and district.
